Hello There!

I won’t waste your time because I know you’re busy. If you found this post chances are you are absolutely fed up with your planner layouts and wish you could get more out of your planner. I have been exactly the same place recently. So I did what I always do when I need fresh ideas and inspiration —fall down a Pinterest rabbit hole. It did not disappoint! I stumbled on a method called the Alastair Method.

What is the Alastair Method?

The Alastair Method at it’s core is more of a list or chart method of planning.

Here’s the Rundown:

It saves space

  • instead of having space wasted with boxes that are holding space for days you don’t got a lot going on, you can use that space to plan
  • for days your actually really busy and everything you need to fit inside that days box, doesn’t have to fit in a box

More writing efficiency

  • for tasks that need to cover a couple of days or alternate through the week, you only have to write the task ONCE and then circle the boxes beside that task for the days affected
  • to reschedule to another day that week, you just mark through the original schedule day and circle the day you’re moving it to

That’s it guys! It’s short and sweet!
